Apple crumble slice

You could use pears, apricots, nectarines or quinces in place of the apples.

400 grams cooked (steamed, boiled, sautΓ©ed or poached) fruit. or mix and make with some berries too.

If you are using quinces they need to be peeled and cored and cut into quarters and put in a large pot, covered with water and poached for about 30 minutes or until soft and turned pink. You may like to add sugar to the poaching water but I find with the cake and crumble and then served with ice-cream or cream sweet enough.

peel and core the apple, dice in a 1 cm dice with on teaspoon of water, in a pot with a lid over low heat until soft.

200 grams butter
150 grams caster sugar
2 eggs
5 grams cinnamon
150 grams plain flour
150 grams self-rising flour

100 grams butter
100 grams brown
150 grams self-rising flour
100 grams oats
teaspoon cinnamon

To make the crumble rub the sugar into the butter and mix in all other ingredients

line a 20 cm by 20 cm cake tin with baking paper and turn the oven onto 180 C. cream the butter and sugar together until light and creamy, beat in the eggs and then the flours and cinnamon place in the cake tin with the cooled apple (or fruit) on top and top with the crumble mix bake at 180 C for about 25minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

It’s easy to make cakes in the thermomix cream the sugar and butter this will take about 15 seconds speed 5 you may need to scrap down in that time, and then add eggs for another 10 seconds/speed 5 then the flours for another 10 seconds.
