Bangor Seafood Everyday cookbook dinner 23rd September 2017

last night I cooked a dinner with the lovely people at Bangor Vineyard in Dunalley to celebrate the awards that Seafood Everyday has won and to promote my books and website.

A great turn out with lots of guests travelling just for the dinner, lovely to see so many had made the effort, with a few comments it is really not that far from hobart, its not!

The menu was

Fresh baked Bread Ashbolt Olive oil and salmon pate
Norfolk Bay oysters with smacked salmon and cream fraiche.
pickled octopus
Macadamia baked blue eye with beetroot chutney
lemon Tart and lemon sorbet

Bangor wine and oyster shed is open everyday for lunch and wine tastings and it has a brilliant out door area with lots of room for the kids.

The Beautiful flowers were supplied by Julie Emmet. Thank you to everyone who came along to the dinner, Chef Bron for all her help, Hannah and Bella for working and a big thanks to Vanessa and Matt for hosting my dinner and supporting my cookbooks and business. It was such a fun night I am sure it will happen again one day, make sure you are subscribed to this website so you are the first to know when I post a new event.

Bruny Island Wines Dinner -winter 2017

I cooked a dinner with the brilliant people at Bruny Island Wines on the 26th August,  the first of 3 dinners I have organised to promote my books and website. I was pretty spoilt and Mark and Eliza the chefs had done all the ordering and  organised the prep. I took the opportunity over their lunch service to take some photographs for the book I am working on with them. They are making a gorgeous little soft cover book with about 40 recipes and all the stories of living on Bruny Island. Bernice Woolley the owner,  parents had some of the first apple orchards on the Island. The book will be available next year and they will start taking orders soon, I will post more details on how to pre order a copy as soon as I have the infomation. It’s a brilliant way to promote their product creating lots of contents for there social media channels along the way, if they need to use it, ending up with a beautiful book- brilliant lasting long term advertising. Please contact me if you want to chat about your own book project.
